About this tool and our lab results

Water data comes from the U.S. EPA's Safe Drinking Water Information System via EPA ECHO. We match your ZIP code or city to the community water systems that serve your city; if you're on a private well or a small system, your results may differ. Violation history and lead tap-sample results come from EPA’s SDWIS records (via EPA Envirofacts) for the last 10 years. PFAS results come from EPA’s Fifth Unregulated Contaminant Monitoring Rule (UCMR 5), which tested public water systems serving more than 3,300 people (and some smaller ones) for 29 PFAS from 2023 to 2025; we show the highest level found in any sample. A violation shows what your utility was cited for, not necessarily what’s in your water today, and meeting EPA limits doesn’t mean water is free of contaminants.

Our lab claims refer to the carbon filter cartridge used in Denali Spring 8L and 6L gravity systems. In independent spiked-water tests, the cartridge reduced the listed contaminants below the lab's detection limit: 58 volatile organic compounds (including the four trihalomethanes), arsenic, cadmium, chromium, lead, nickel and free chlorine, and reduced fluoride by 90% (CVR Labs, Chennai, Sept 2021, report 21080072.01). PFOA and PFOS were reduced below 0.005 µg/L through 1,500 liters (Atom Testing Laboratory, Bangalore, Dec 2023, report 2312042, NSF/ANSI 53 methods). These are independent lab tests, not NSF certification. Results in your home may vary with water conditions and filter age.
